At this time, we are only considering applications from people who are interested in the adult cats on our available list as well as some of our queens that are about to retire. The 'Available' page is listed on the main menu of this website. Also, go to our Facebook page for more updated photos and videos.

Below is a copy of the adoption application. Please copy and paste to your email along with your answers and email it to thaideemaew@yahoo.com. Incomplete applications will not be considered; all questions must be answered. Your answers are kept confidential. There is no discrimination here based on race, religion, politics, ethnicity or gender.

Adoption Application

Which cats (from our Available page, Queens page or Facebook page) are you interested in and why? The queens available are: Lucy, Tina, Twyla, Lorna, Joy, Tiara and Starla. They must go to homes with no other cats and no desire to aquire any more than one cat unless from my cattery. Some of my queens can be paired together, but they must not be paired with cats from another place. All breeding plans have been cancelled indefinitely here, so there is no reason to inquire about future kittens available.

When are you looking to add a new cat to your home?

Have you spoken with whoever you need to speak with to decide on adding a new cat to your home and family? This may include your spouse, partner, children, parents or landlord.

If your application is approved, are you prepared to place a non-refundable deposit today (via Paypal) to hold your cat/s until they (or you) are ready for pick-up?

We do not allow prospective buyers to handle our cats and kittens before they are paid for in full and the contract has been signed. You will have the chance to see the cat, ask questions and read the contract. Then the payment must be made before handing over the cat. There are no exceptions. Do you agree to these terms and conditions?

If you do not live in Michigan (or another state within feasible driving distance), how do you expect to handle the logistics to obtain your cat/kitten?

Do you have a budget or price limitation that will dictate how much you are able or willing to spend in the adoption process?

What do you think about declawing cats?
__ Any cat I get will have to be declawed to be in my home.
__ I would consider it if the cat was clawing my furniture and causing damage.
__ I would never declaw a cat.
__ Other, please describe: _______________________________________________________________

Do you have any pets now? Yes / No. If yes, please describe:

Who are the people living at the home? If there are children, please give ages and if boy or girl:

Briefly, what is your experience with cats/kittens?

What is the maximum amount you would spend on the cat in one vet bill before resorting to euthanasia? Euthanasia means putting the cat to death. This could be a case of a broken leg, ingestion of foreign body matter, a urinary tract infection etc. that is NOT terminal, and it is very treatable.
Please circle: $500 (or less) / $500-$800 / $800-$1,000 / $1,000-$1,500 / $1,500-$2,000 / $2,000-$2,500 / $2,500-$3,000 / $3,000-$3,500 / $3,500-$4,000 / $4,000-$4,500 / $4,500-$5,000 / No limit

What do you think about letting cats outdoors? Check all that apply.
__ Cats are happy outdoors and they should be outside to do what cats do.
__ I like indoor/outdoor cats. They are welcome to roam freely at my home.
__ It’s okay to let them out when they want to. You can’t keep them from going outside.
__ It’s okay for them to go outside as long as it’s on the owner’s property.
__ Cats should be indoors because there are just too many dangers with letting them outside.

If your veterinarian recommended something for your cat that the breeder said was not okay, whose advice would you follow? Please chose only one!
__ My veterinarian because I trust them and they know best.
__ I would follow my breeder’s advice.

What is your opinion about spaying and neutering? Check all that apply.
__ I want my cat to have at least one litter to experience the joy and pleasure of …
__ I would like to have my cats breed, so my children can see the miracle of life and enjoy the kittens.
__ I would like to breed because it’s a nice hobby, I like kittens and its money in my pocket!
__ I want my kitten spayed / neutered as soon as possible because…!
__ I would delay spaying and neutering until I could afford it. Money is tight right now.
__ I want my kitten spayed / neutered, but I don’t know what is the best time to do it.

What breeds of cats are you considering at this time?

If your application is approved, we will try to reach you by phone. What is the best time/s to reach you?

If we reach you by phone and you receive our phone number, this does not mean you are being invited to send text messages asking about price or to use texting as a means to send inquires about our cats. Are you okay with this? If you ignore this and continue to send text message inquires, you will be declined and communications will end without warning!
