Foreign Whites and Orientals are required to have long triangular wedge shaped heads to compete in the show ring.  They are NOT true or pure Siamese!  They can come in any mixture of races.  Foreign Whites were developed by crossing white British Shorhaired cats with purebred Siamese and then with Balinese.

So, what's different about our Foreign Whites?  Ours come from a single RACE of Thai cat that goes back over 1000 years.  That's right, it's the exact same single race of cat found only in South East Asia and among purebred Siamese cats.  Just like there are different races of people, there are EIGHT races of domesticated cats in the world.  Our cats come from one race found only in Thailand.  Pure Siamese cats should only come in ONE race.  If they have been polluted with other races, they can no longer be considered pure regardless of what changes and allowances that take place at various registries.  This is the view of conservative breeders of Thai cats in Thailand as well as conservative breeders of purebred Siamese/Balinese breeders in the Western countries.  We want our Foreign Whites to look very traditional so that any ordinary Thai person can identify them as being 'Thai cats.'  But we aim for the wonderful semi-long hair that Western breeders have worked so hard to develop over here.  Why?  Because it's not only beautiful, soft and low maintenance, it's also considered hypoallergenic and practically non-shedding.

What's more?  We also want our Foreign Whites to be so elegant that they resemble Duchess from the movie Aristocats:
