The proud senior sire at Thai Dee Maew Cattery is Purr Prints H.H. Saki Munro. Saki was acquired from Mirabelle cattery in Cambridge, Ontario Canada in February of 2014. He is a TCA registered and pedigreed Champion Stock Traditional (applehead) Longhair Siamese with a long and luxuriously soft seal point coat. Also, Saki is registered as Balinese with the American Cat Association. He was bred by Ruth Little of Purr Prints cattery in Canada.
Update: April 25th, 2017 Prince was retired due to unfortunate medical circumstances. He is now in the loving and caring hands of our veterinarian for life. Prince was such a wonderful asset to us! We miss him terribly! We are retaining some of Prince's daughters so his lines will not be lost forever from this cattery. Prince comes from excellent bloodlines of Champion stock and with a great deal of genetic diversity (zero coefficient, no line breeding, no inbreeding). He has the perfect Balinese coat that was consistently passed on to all his long-haired kittens.
Prince has beautiful baby blue eyes that we prefer as this is the color that breeders in Thailand want, rather than the dark sapphire we've seen so much of here in the United States. It's important for us that our cats appear very much like Thai cats that are bred, raised and found in Thailand. Prince was as close as we've come to find in the Balinese breed that resembles these Thai cats. Not only was he a rare find, his pleasant, affectionate disposition couldn't have been better! Prince loved his kittens and he helped raise them. He never sprayed or mark his territory, nor did his urine smell badly as most whole males do! We were so fortunate to be blessed with such a mild-mannered and excellent producing male. His registration is with TCA and ACA.

In September of 2016, we acquired a new CFA registered chocolate point Balinese male. We couldn't ask for a sweeter, more affectionate or more talkative boy! His appearance is very 'Thai' with a true modified wedge, which is very difficult to find among the Balinese as they are usually either extreme appleheads or extreme wedge heads. We want neither of these types here at Thai Dee Maew!
Bailey has big shoes to fill! Now that Prince is no longer with us, Bailey will be breeding all our junior queens from Saki as well as Prince's daughters. Also, we bred him to our priceless Suphalak, 'Thonga' and they welcomed their first litter of seven on May 8th/9th of 2017. Bailey is expected to add color variety, size, substance and a very affectionate nature to his kittens.
We rarely add any new breeding cats to our cattery and when we do they have to meet a high standard because we plan to keep them for a very long time! Unlike many other catteries out there, Thai Dee Maew does not operate like a kitten mill with a revolving door of breeding cats that are always coming and going! Our cats are part of the family. We don't look at them like agriculture or livestock! Beware of other breeders who use these terms to defend their practice of constantly putting their breeding cats up for sale (once they've outlived their breeding purposes at that cattery)! As a rule, we do NOT sell our breeding cats to strangers. They go to people we know and trust or they stay with us for life.
